Submissions will be accepted in 2 categories:
political cartoon OR 90 seconds or less video clip

$200 cash prize for first place in each format

$100 cash prize for runner up in each format


Honorary Prize for Directly Impacted Artists & Creators

Three $100 cash prizes for submissions in either format

(The honorary prize is for creators & artists sharing personal testimonies of their direct impact in the Riverside county jail system or from the Riverside Sheriff’s Department.)

Judging Criteria

  • Effective community education about

    • Chad Bianco’s track record as sheriff, public speeches or actions as a political candidate.

    • The policies in Bianco’s Riverside sheriff department and how they have impacted the community.

  • Emotional connection demonstrating 

    • Witty sense of humor;

    • Satire; and/or

    • Poignant personal testimonies.

  • Creativity

  • Artistic quality

Format for submissions:

Political Cartoons:

  • Art can be hand drawn or use digital illustration tools (except for AI.)

  • Submissions should be either in JPG or PNG files format.

  • Cartoons should be easily readable on mobile devices and be printable on 11 in x 8.5 pages or smaller.

Video clips:

  • Videos must be 90 seconds or shorter in length.  

  • Maximum file size is 20 MB. 

  • Files should be submitted as either mp4, m4v, or mov format.

Contest Rules

  1. No AI rendered drawings or video allowed.

  2. No depictions that promote racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia or other forms of hate speech.

  3. No false statements or declarations.

  4. Individuals may submit up to 2 entries.

  5. All submissions will become free license art for the wider community to use with attribution to the creator.

  6. The deadline is 9pm on Tuesday, April 28th.
